Emily leads the Real Estate Dispute Resolution team and is a trusted advisor to a wide variety of clients including both commercial and residential property portfolio investors, developers, retail occupiers, charities, and pension fund managers. Her work covers a range of complex and volume real estate projects. She is an acknowledged expert in business rates, rights of light and contested 1954 Act lease renewals; her cases include significant litigation in the Upper Tribunal, Court of Appeal and UK Supreme Court, as well as county and high courts.
Emily is highly respected by her clients; a real team player who quickly builds strong relationships with client, she has a reputation for providing commercial, practical advice. Emily also regularly delivers training and seminars both for clients and externally.
She is a member of the Property Litigation Association Law Reform Committee – part of the representative body of contentious and advisory property lawyers - and responsible for anticipating changes in the law, actively lobbying or providing critique on proposed reforms.
