Elena is a Counsel specialising across all TMT sectors, with a particular focus on Intellectual Property, Data Protection, Gaming, Gambling and Advertising.

With over 15 years of experience as a lawyer, Elena has advised and represented clients operating across a wide range of industries, covering the full spectrum of Intellectual Property matters. Her work includes advice on patents, utility models, employee inventions, trademarks and branding strategies, as well as industrial designs, copyright and domain names.

Elena has been advising on data protection matters since 2015 and has continuously deepened her expertise in this field, becoming a recognised specialist. She has assisted clients by coordinating GDPR compliance audits, including data mapping exercises, supporting the implementation of compliance measures, providing advisory services and representation in the event of data breaches, and delivering tailored data protection training programmes for clients across various sectors. Elena has also been deeply involved in Legal Tech projects and was awarded the Special Focus prize at the first Legal Global Hackathon, where she and her team developed a GDPR compliance platform.

Driven by a lifelong passion for technology, shaped by her father’s work as an inventor, combined with extensive experience in IT services agreements, software development and licensing, as well as involvement in technology, driven transactions and IP assets, Elena has become one of the most sought-after technology lawyers in Romania.

A notable area of focus is the Gaming sector, where Elena has been particularly active in recent years. She has advised both game development studios and publishers, built a close working relationship with the Romanian Game Developers Association (RGDA), and regularly speaks at gaming industry events, including the Dev.Play Conference.

Elena is also highly specialised in Gambling law, representing clients before the Romanian National Gambling Office (ONJN) in connection with the licensing and renewal of gambling operations. She also provides ongoing regulatory advice to one of the largest Romanian gambling operators.
