Edward is a partner in BCLP's Commercial Construction and Engineering Team. He is a well-known lawyer in Southampton and leads our fledgling construction practice there.

Edward has over 20 years’ experience advising on the construction law aspects of commercial procurement – negotiating development agreements, funding arrangements, different types of building contracts, consultant appointments, warranties and other security instruments. He acts for owners (public, private or charitable), developers, contractors, institutional funders, and consultants. His practice sectors include commercial property transactions, retail & leisure, charities & education, banking & finance. Edward has advised owners and managers of high-risk buildings regarding cladding remediation works and assisted devolved government to negotiate with developers regarding these projects.

Edward is also qualified as a Hong Kong solicitor (non-practising) and spent 4.5 years working on major construction projects in that region. He is an essay-prize winning member of the Society of Construction Law and a past finalist of The Law Society’s solicitor of the year award. He has been recognised in the legal directories for his client service standards.
