Marcus is the Global Practice Group Leader for Technology, Commercial & Data and sits as a Member on BCLP’s Global Board. Marcus has over 24 years of technology, commercial and outsourcing experience on a wide variety of strategic transactions, often cross-border in nature, with a notable history of advising US corporates in the European market.

He has a particular focus on the corporate technology, financial services (including FinTech and Insuretech), retail, leisure and sports and entertainment sectors. Marcus won TMT Team of the Year for his role in the award-winning £1bn global IT outsourcing transformation project for a multinational utility business. His practice has an emphasis on corporate carve-out transactions where M&A and outsourcing overlap.

He represents clients from investors (VCs, corporates and PE) and technology businesses (from high-growth to mature companies) to enterprise users (including corporates and financial services institutions procuring or investing in technology) advising on all aspects of their transactional activity.

He is the firm’s lead or joint client relationship partner for a number of Firmwide clients, including BT Group/Openreach, NIKE Inc., eBay, DXC Technology Inc., SPX FLOW Inc., Schroders and the music licensing companies, Performing Rights Society and Phonographic Performance Ltd, amongst others.
