Duane Daniel is a Senior Partner at One Legal Caribbean and heads the firm’s St. Vincent and the Grenadines office. He focuses on commercial litigation, administrative law, civil law, corporate governance, and intellectual property. As a dual-qualified barrister-at-law called to both the Bar of England and Wales and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, Duane offers clients cross-jurisdictional legal solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Holborn College, University of Wolverhampton, and completed his Bar Vocational Course at BPP University. With 24 years of practice, Duane has established himself as a leading practitioner in the Eastern Caribbean. He has served multiple terms on the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Bar Association, including several appointments as Vice President, and has held executive roles with the OECS Bar Association, where he served as Treasurer and chaired the Continuing Legal Education subcommittee.
Notably, Duane represented St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the Civil Practice Rules Review Committee alongside the Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal, directly influencing civil practice procedures throughout the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court system. His extensive government advisory experience includes serving as a former special prosecutor and Director of Public Prosecutions (Ag.) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as consultant to the Attorney General’s Chambers on litigation strategy, legislative drafting, and Crown Counsel training. Duane advises multinational corporations, regional hotel resorts, and statutory bodies on complex commercial transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. He represents major lending institutions and insurance companies in high-stakes commercial disputes and is one of the few qualified agents for trademark and patent registration in the jurisdiction. He also serves as Chairman of the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines pension fund.
