Douglas G Gibson

Doug Gibson is Chair of Covington’s Management Committee, and is responsible for the overall direction of Covington’s strategy and operations. In addition to his leadership and management roles, Mr. Gibson has continued an active corporate practice. He represents leading US professional sports leagues and teams, and current and aspiring owners, including the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, USTA, PGA of Americas, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Chicago Cubs. Advises with respect to M&A, finance, governance and media matters, including team sales, league-wide financing arrangements, stadium financing, media agreements and sponsorship arrangements. Represents other corporate and private equity clients, including Bacardi Limited, in broad array of M&A, finance and governance matters.
