He has several years of experience advising local and international companies in complex merger control procedures and has acted in some of the most important competition cases in Colombia. Diego has also participated in various administrative procedures and judicial actions regarding antitrust law, unfair competition and international trade. Distinguished by Whos Who Legal as "Thought Leader" in Competition 2022. He was designated by the Colombian competition authority as Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) for the International Competition Network.

Diego has a Law Degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2003). He has a Postgraduate degree in Financial Law from Universidad de los Andes (2005) and an LL.M. from University of Chicago (2011).
