David William Akuoko-Nyantakyi

Career

William is an adaptive lawyer with a foot in two worlds: the structured terrain of corporate legal advisory; and the fast-moving landscape of entertainment, sports, and the broader creative economy. His practice combines technical precision with commercial awareness, allowing him to support clients navigating both established industries and emerging sectors.

His experience spans intellectual property and entertainment law; dispute resolution; corporate and commercial transactions; real estate and construction; family, trust and probate administration; natural resources; insolvency and restructuring; as well as banking and investment. He drafts and negotiates complex agreements, advises businesses, represents clients in contentious matters, and provides strategic guidance across a wide range of legal challenges.

With previous training in litigation and alternative dispute resolution at the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice, William has sharpened his analytical skills and deepened his understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks.

Since transitioning into private practice, William has strengthened his focus on corporate advisory while continuing to develop a keen interest in how emerging sectors, including content creation, sports, betting, music, film, and live events, are reshaping investment and commercial conversations across Africa.
