Curtis Cusinato is Vice Chair and Partner as well as Co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions practising corporate and securities law, with a particular focus on cross-border mergers & acquisitions, private equity and capital markets transactions. For over two decades he has advised leading multinational, public and private companies and private equity groups on domestic and cross-border mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged and management buyouts, going private transactions and other private equity transactions as well as public offerings, restructurings, reorganizations, joint ventures, and debt and equity financings. His highly active practice includes advising boards of directors on various corporate governance matters and covers a spectrum of industries including technology, steel, manufacturing, agribusiness, foodservice, hospitality, gaming, environmental, financial services, and life sciences.
Career
Admitted to the Ontario bar, 1993; Completed Michigan bar, 1991.
Personal
Curtis is actively involved in his community and formerly served on the board of the North York General Hospital Foundation and as Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and Governor’s Council. Most recently Curtis joined a team of cyclists as they undertook the Wellspring Peloton Challenge—riding from Toronto to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2018 and San Antonio Texas in 2019 in support of the Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation.
