Cory is a Senior Associate in KRB’s Banking and Finance group whose practice focuses on corporate financing, banking law, real estate, and corporate/commercial law, including asset-based lending, syndicated lending, restructuring transactions and related areas. He regularly represents institutional lenders and corporate borrowers and has worked with businesses in various industries including the retail, automotive and financial sectors, among other.
Prior to joining the team, Cory completed his legal studies in England at University of London and graduated with distinction. Upon returning to Montreal, he obtained his civil law equivalency at the University of Montreal and worked for one of the largest private industrial real estate holders in Eastern Canada, where he was involved primarily in acquisition, construction, leasing matters and other related areas.

Acted for the agent and syndicate of lenders in connection with senior secured credit facilities in the aggregate principal amount of $435,000,000, comprised of a non-revolving demand loan and a hedging facility, to finance the acquisition of a five-property, twenty-three-building, 1,900-unit residential portfolio in Quebec City, completed in the context of insolvency proceedings.
Represented the credit parties in connection with an aggregate $216,000,000 in land, construction and letter of credit facilities for the acquisition and redevelopment of a 7-million-square-foot industrial campus in Montreal.
Represented the agent and syndicate of lenders in connection with syndicated credit facilities in the aggregate principal amount of $250,000,000 to a tier-one developer, secured by a cross-provincial borrowing base of real property assets, requiring a bespoke credit agreement and multi-jurisdictional security package.
Acted for the agent and syndicate of lenders in connection with syndicated credit facilities in the aggregate principal amount of $127,891,485 to finance the acquisition, partial sale and phased construction of a major redevelopment site in Montreal, including implementation of co-ownership and vendor take-back security arrangements.
Acted for co-lenders in respect of a $149,000,000 construction facility to finance the development of a twenty-two-storey mixed-use project in Ottawa comprising residential rental units and a hotel component.
Represented a Canadian chartered bank in connection with a senior secured financing for the acquisition of a Bombardier Challenger aircraft, secured by the aircraft, real estate collateral, and supported by multiple guarantees.
Acted for the agent and syndicate of lenders in connection with senior secured credit facilities in the aggregate principal amount of $221,026,375 to finance the acquisition, land servicing and development of a 953,444-square-foot industrial building in Saint-Philippe, Quebec.
Represented the lenders in connection with an asset-based revolving credit facility in the aggregate principal amount of $50,000,000, secured by accounts receivable, inventory and other personal property located across multiple Canadian provinces and U.S. states.
Acted for a Canadian chartered bank in connection with credit facilities in the aggregate principal amount of $68,000,000 to refinance the real property underlying two major hotels in Laval, Quebec, finance operations and support a corporate reorganization of the ownership structure.
