Practice Areas

Claire is a principal lawyer and handles all claims of clinical negligence. She has a special interest in those relating to birth injury and has over 25 years' experience representing children and adults in very high value cases. During her career she's developed unique solutions in settlements to ensure that the lifelong needs of her clients are met fully. This is especially significant in cases relating to both cerebral palsy and non-cerebral palsy birth injury. It's also proved to be a useful tool in negotiating compensation in a wide variety of high value cases including delayed cancer diagnosis, failure to provide Vitamin K to a newborn baby, compartment syndrome of the lower limbs and the delayed diagnosis of brain tumours.

Professional Memberships

Claire is accredited as a member of the Law Society and the AVMA Specialist Clinical Negligence Panels and has been for many years. She is also designated as a Senior Litigator with APIL. Claire also has a diploma in counselling.


Claire jointly set up a niche practice in 1993, which become the clinical negligence department at JMW in 1997. She joined Pannone Solicitors in 2013, part of which was acquired by Slater and Gordon in 2014.
