Christopher acts for global banks, insurers and other financial services firms in complex investigations and litigation, often with an international dimension. His experience includes the Lehman Waterfall litigation, the Deutsche Bank v Sebastian litigation, global tax investigations, FCA investigations into financial crime and cyber/resilience issues and FX, equities, bonds, gilts and other market conduct issues, defending insurers in high value coverage disputes and providing strategic advice in relation to Covid-19 and Ukraine related matters
Christopher has been a partner at Freshfields since 2013 and acted as head of its financial disputes practice from 2019 to 2023. He currently chairs the firm's global Risk committee.
Christopher was a member of the editorial panel for ‘Financial Services: Investigations & Enforcement' and is the author of the enforcement chapter in Bloomsbury's ‘Financial Services Law Guide’.
