Christoph joined Freshfields in 1995 and has been a partner since 2000. He was seconded to Goldman Sachs, IBD Frankfurt in 1998.

Christoph has been Honorary Professor at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg since 2008, was Visiting Professor at Kyoto University in 2010 and Visiting Scholar there in 2013 and 2015.
