Christian Wiere

Practice Areas

Since obtaining his license to practice law, Christian Wiere has been involved in a wide range of construction projects at all relevant stages, from planning to completion and settlement of the respective project. His expertise in this area has been demonstrated by the successful completion of specialist lawyer training courses in construction and architectural law and public procurement law. Mr. Wiere works primarily for public building contractors. A particular focus is on providing legal support for subsidized construction and asserting interests in road construction and civil engineering.

In addition to supporting the execution of construction projects, he focuses on the awarding of complex construction and planning services and represents clients in appeals and review proceedings.

Mr. Wiere works for public clients as well as bidders and applicants. He generally handles project management and planning contracts as well as complex general contractor, general engineer, technical contractor, and technical engineer contracts.

Regular representation of a fiduciary redevelopment agent pursuant to Section 157 of the German Building Code (BauGB) for municipalities in Saxony-Anhalt regarding construction and real estate matters.

Issuance of termination for good cause, project liquidation, and subsequent enforcement of additional cost claims; value: approx. €950,000.

Enforcement of a contractor’s remuneration claims while simultaneously defending against warranty claims brought against a public-law institution (Anstalt des öffentlichen Rechts) in North Rhine-Westphalia; value: approx. €1.2 million.
