Practice Areas
Chris is a partner advising clients on all areas of real estate litigation and dispute resolution.
His clients include developers, owners, property institutions, financial institutions, hoteliers, retailers and insolvency practitioners.
Clients often come to Chris for advice on high-value and complex disputes relating to the use and occupation of land. He advises clients on lease renewals, claims relating to breach of covenant, rent and service charge recovery and real estate insolvency issues. In addition, he advises on construction disputes, including adjudications and arbitration. He also has experience advising on niche areas including Rights to Light and Business Rates disputes.
Prior to relocation to the south coast (where he grew up) he trained and practised at a large City firm.
He is married to his wife Gemma and has three children, Cameron, Dylan and Olivia. Outside of work, he is the manager of his son’s grassroots football team and a qualified FA coach. He has a passion for guitars and live music, and on occasion, can be found playing with his band at music venues on the South Coast. He is also a keen runner and will take any opportunity to get some fresh air, usually accompanied by his loyal Cocker Spaniel, Paddington.
