Chris Hubbard

Chris is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s Litigation Group in Toronto. His general litigation practice focuses on complex commercial disputes and professional negligence. Chris is sought out by clients from diverse industries to assist with a variety of litigation and regulatory issues, including product liability claims, class proceedings, product recalls, and commercial contract disputes. His clients include leading food and consumer products companies, national and international retailers, automakers, mining companies, construction companies, and consulting firms. He has appeared as lead counsel for successful clients before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and multiple provincial Superior Courts and Courts of Appeal.

Chris is a member of McCarthy’s National Class Actions Group, the Consumer Products Sector Lead of our National Retail and Consumer Markets Group, a past Co-Chair of the firm’s National Mining Litigation Group, and past Vice-Chair of the Class and Derivative Actions sub-committee of the American Bar Association.
