Charlotte Stalin

Charlotte is head of the firm's financial institutions sector group and is a leading advisor to global investment firms and banks on the provision of financial services. This includes acting as a strategic advisor across all aspects of their businesses including the establishment and structuring of their businesses, ongoing regulatory reform and compliance with PRA and FCA rules. Charlotte is also in charge of the firm’s market leading cross-border regulatory offering: navigator.

As an industry-leading specialist on Brexit transition, Charlotte has taken an innovative and commercial approach to assisting major financial institutions with continuing operation of their business through all stages of Brexit; which includes the creation of a Brexit Transition Toolkit.

Charlotte has been named on The Lawyer Hot 100 Disruptors 2018 and was awarded Simmons & Simmons Legal Innovator of the Year at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards 2016. Her recognition is in response to her innovative solutions for clients in the form of cost-effective online services and tools. This includes Simmons & Simmons navigator, Simmons & Simmons MiFID2 Manager and Simmons & Simmons XBTech. Charlotte is also member of TheCityUk’s International Regulatory Strategy Group and is actively engaged with industry and regulators to influence the legal outcomes so that they work for the market.

Charlotte is a member of the firm’s LIBOR steering group, focused on guiding clients through the IBOR transition and remediation process.
