Charlene’s enjoys a balanced practice defending and prosecuting a range of criminal offences at Crown Court and Court of Appeal level.  She maintains this alongside her regulatory practice.
She is known for having meticulous attention to detail and can quickly get to grips with the most demanding of cases.  She is known for having an expertise in those cases where there is complex scientific, electronic or medical evidence.  Her hard work and thorough case preparation combined with an engaging style of advocacy and incisive cross examination have proved a winning formula.  She can put both defendants and witnesses at ease allowing them to give their best evidence.
Her significant work as either Leading or Led junior means she is experienced at working as part of a team.

Charlene was one of the Co-authors of the Blackstones Guide to the Consumer Rights Act 2015.  She was responsible for the chapters on Consumer Law Enforcement Powers and Enhanced Consumer Measures.
