Catherine is a specialist in child care law, with a particular emphasis on public law children proceedings - care and adoption.
She advises and represents local authorities, parents and children through their children’s guardian, or older children directly.
Catherine often is instructed in highly complex care proceedings involving serious allegations of sexual abuse, inflicted injury, complex forensic medical evidence, or the death of a child or parent.
She is also frequently instructed in deprivation of liberty proceedings on behalf of children and forced marriage cases and care proceedings with an international element.
