Career

Cameron has more than 35 years of experience representing real estate investment trusts (REITs) and real estate companies in a wide range of transactions, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and going-private transactions. He advises issuers and underwriters in real estate-related capital markets transactions and public and private mergers and acquisitions. Clients rely on Cam's extensive tax knowledge to navigate complex tax rules, particularly in the REITs, partnership and real estate industries.

Before joining Sullivan, Cam was a partner at another international law firm in Washington, D.C. He writes and speaks frequently on current tax issues. In addition to his active practice, Cam serves on the Board of Trustees of the Southern Federal Tax Institute, is a member of the Advisory Council for the Tax Conference at William & Mary School of Law, is a member of the Partnership and Real Estate Committees of the American Bar Association Tax Section, is a member of the Government Relations Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, and is a member of the Tax Policy Advisory Committee of the Real Estate Roundtable.

Cam is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia as well as before the U.S. Tax Court.
