Caley is a specialist commercial litigator and advocate. His practice encompasses a broad range of commercial disputes, both in litigation and arbitration, with particular strength in civil fraud, company and insolvency matters.
He has been instructed in a number of the most high‑profile commercial disputes of recent years, including the MultiBank litigation, Deripaska v Chernukin, Transworld Payment Solutions (UK) Ltd (In Liquidation), and the London Capital & Finance litigation arising from the mini-bond scandal. He also has an established offshore practice, acting in jurisdictions such as the BVI, Jersey, the Cayman Islands, DIFC and ADGM.
Caley is routinely instructed to act as sole counsel or as part of a team in trials and appellate proceedings. He is a contributor to Civil Fraud: Law, Practice & Procedure, and to the insolvency sections of LexisNexis’ Civil Court Service.
He read Classics (MA) at Oxford, graduating with a First, and was called to the Bar in 2008.
