Bryan Powell

Bryan has more than 35 years of experience advising owners, developers, investors, institutions, and lenders on all aspects of real estate investment, development, financing, leasing, and operations. He has experience counseling clients on industrial, office and retail mixed-use development, private/public redevelopment, senior housing projects and real estate financing, including joint venturing, deal structuring, sales and acquisitions, leasing, and management.

Bryan routinely assists developer, investor, and lender clients in business deal structuring and in finding creative financing solutions for challenging projects. He combines technical legal prowess with a practical approach to fully understand the parties' business needs and objectives, enabling him to put complex deals together or orchestrate the restructuring of troubled projects with positive results.

Having represented numerous lenders and borrowers over the years, Bryan has broad experience in real estate finance, secured lending, workouts, and loan restructuring. He has worked on a significant number of projects that have included financing with federal funds or agency-insured programs; state and local financing incentives, including bond financing; and various tax-credit programs.

Bryan also works with owners, operators, and investors of independent, assisted living, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement communities on acquisition, development, and financing of many aspects of senior housing matters, including deal structuring of joint ventures and partnership arrangements.
