Practice Areas
Beatriz Lavigne is an associate in the Banking & Finance practice in the São Paulo office. Her primary areas of expertise include financing transactions (onshore, offshore and cross-border) and regulatory matters, representing multilateral agencies, development and commercial banks, institutional creditors, corporate clients and their respective sponsors, mainly in relation to investments and projects across a wide range of sectors. Beatriz has also experience in corporate finance, acquisition finance and out-of-court debt restructurings, as well as in corporate and capital markets law, particularly in the context of debt offerings within both the Brazilian and international capital markets.
Career
Beatriz specializes in researching and implementing financial and regulatory solutions related to development finance, green finance, and social finance. She is an active member of the Green Finance and Sustainable Infrastructure Groups within the LAB (Financial Innovation Laboratory), which is a collaborative initiative involving the Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM), the Brazilian Development Association (ABDE), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. In these roles, she is engaged in research to develop financial and risk mitigation solutions aimed at mobilizing resources for economic and social development, as well as emphasizing environmental sustainability. She is also a member of the Infra Women Brazil, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the representation of women in the infrastructure sector.

Beatriz is an active Member of the Special Commission on Infrastructure and Development at Brazilian Bar Association/SP since 2022.
