Arash Amouzgar

Practice Areas

Arash’s practice focuses on acting for Canadian and international private equity sponsors in a broad range of M&A matters, as well as pension fund and institutional investors on private equity fund investments. He has led or co-led numerous complex transactions mandates across industries on complex joint ventures, business structuring, and commercial matters. Arash led the firm’s national compliance program to respond to corporate hygiene and transparency rule changes.

In addition, Arash has completed a secondment to one of the Firm's foreign investment banking clients, where he worked on a broad range of corporate and securities matters.

Professional Memberships

He is routinely invited to speak on corporate and transactional topics including, most recently at the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association’s annual meeting (Invest Canada). He is a sessional instructor at The Law Society of British Columbia’s PLTC training program on mergers and acquisitions, as well as an adjunct instructor at the University of Victoria Law School (where he has taught Advanced Corporate Transactions). Arash is recognized as an emergent leader in solicitors’ bar, as demonstrated by his election as an executive (and later Vice President) of the Vancouver Bar Association and appointment to the board of directors of Touchstone Theatre (a non-profit organization with close ties to the Vancouver legal community).
