Antonio is the global co-head of A&O‘s antitrust group. He advises on all aspects of antitrust law, practising primarily in London and Brussels. High-profile matters he has worked on include: News Corp/Sky Italia and the controversial regulatory aspects of the proposed acquisition of Sky; Sky's acquisition of a stake in ITV (and following litigation) and the UK litigation on use of foreign decoders cards; WPP/acquisitions of Grey and TNS; 20th Century Fox on the EC investigations on MFN clauses and digital deployment agreements; the acquisition of EMI's music publishing by the Sony-led consortium; Paddy Power/Betfair; Orange Austria/Hutchison; and VEON/Hutchison/Wind 3. He advised 21st Century Fox on the merger control and public interest aspects of its proposed acquisition of Sky, and is advising it on the EC investigation on pay-TV licensing and its proposed acquisition by The Walt Disney Company.
