Anton Goldstein is a Partner in the Corporate department in the British Virgin Islands office of Conyers Dill & Pearman. Anton joined Conyers in 2009 and became a partner in 2013.
Anton has a broad corporate practice with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, capital markets and corporate finance. He consistently advises on the largest and most prominent transactions in the BVI and is recognised as one of the leading M&A and capital markets lawyers in the jurisdiction.
Work Highlights
With a broad corporate practice focused on M&A and private equity, Anton consistently advises on the largest and most prominent deals in the BVI. Examples include Fix Price Group Ltd’s US$2 billion LSE IPO (largest ever in the jurisdiction); Associated Partners’ US$860 million business combination with Landscape Acquisition Holdings Limited to form newly listed Digital Landscape Group, Inc.; KKR’s supplemental US$175m investment in Darktrace; and JP Morgan’s $500 million bond issuance by Del Monte.
In the last five years, Anton has completed several high-profile transactions, including the US$55 billion sale of TNK-BP to Rosneft (the largest ever BVI private M&A transaction); Luxoft on its US$2 billion acquisition by DXC Technology, the largest takeover of a publicly-listed BVI company; Gold Fields on its US$1 billion bond issuance; DSV’s US$1.35 billion acquisition of UTi Worldwide (the third largest BVI public M&A transaction); the IPO of Lenta (at the time creating the largest publicly listed BVI company); the US$2 billion IPO of Despegar on the NYSE; the US$3.4 billion sale of General Electric’s water business; the US$1 billion investment by ChemChina in Mercuria; and Premier Oil’s US$3.8 billion refinancing.
