Anne Salladin is a partner in the Hogan Lovells International Trade and Investment practice, where she represents foreign and domestic clients in various industries in connection with transactional and national security matters, including before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). Prior to joining the firm, she was senior counsel for the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Assistant General Counsel for International Affairs, where she spent nearly 20 years of her career. During her time there, Anne was responsible for providing legal advice to the Secretary of the Treasury as Chairperson of CFIUS and working closely with other CFIUS agencies on national security matters. She participated in the review and investigation of over 500 transactions filed with CFIUS, including major Chinese acquisitions, and in developing the CFIUS regulations issued in 2008. Anne is one of the only lawyers in private practice today formerly with Treasury with experience providing legal advice on CFIUS matters to the Chairperson of CFIUS. Anne has worked on government-to-government arrangements, including those tied to the Mexican and Asian financial crises and access to the Japanese market. She also worked extensively on matters relating to sovereign wealth funds and sovereign debt restructuring.
