Anna advises on all aspects of property and construction law and is trusted to deliver on the largest and most complex transactions in the market. She has particular expertise in high value acquisition and divestment transactions, inbound overseas investment, retail and commercial leasing, forestry, hotel management and master-planned residential development.
Anna was admitted to practise in New Zealand in 2006. She spent a few years working as legal counsel for a property company before returning to Russell McVeagh in 2015. In December 2018, she was promoted to partner.
Anna was elected to the Property Council New Zealand's governing body, its National Council, in March 2019. The National Council is committed to fostering and enabling quality urban growth and development in New Zealand.
Anna regularly contributes to thought leadership for Russell McVeagh, with recent works including 'Overseas Investment (Urgent Measures) Amendment Act to come into force 16 June 2020'; 'Select Committee Report: Overseas Investment (Urgent Measures) Bill'; the 'Overseas Investment Amendment Bill Series'; 'Covid-19 – New Construction Protocols provide guidance on how sites should operate under Alert Level 3'; and 'Getting it right from the ground up: A survey on construction disputes'.
