Andrew has a varied practice but day to day work mainly consists of larger commercial disputes for repeat commercial clients in the manufacturing, engineering and construction industry.
Andrew however still acts for private individuals in significant and/or complex matters. In particular, Andrew regularly acts for owner/managers involved in shareholder disputes, advising in respect of unfair prejudice and derivative actions and partnership disputes, including farming partnerships.
Andrew also has a particular interest in professional negligence, regularly advising on such matters and has other notable experience in the areas of nuisance, insolvency, defamation and intellectual property.
Andrew studied law at the University of Leeds and took the LPC at the College of Law in York.
He joined Lanyon Bowdler as a trainee in 2001 and qualified in 2003 into the Dispute Resolution Department. Andrew became a partner in 2013 and took over as head of department 2016.
Andrew now runs a growing department with a team orientated approach, carrying out all aspects of Dispute Resolution work, covering the full range of the experience spectrum, over multiple locations.
Andrew is an ardent follower of football and a keen runner and hiker.
