Andrew has extensive experience of high-value international commercial litigation and arbitration in England and abroad. His practice encompasses disputes arising from a wide variety of business transactions and includes civil fraud, breach of directors’ duties and breach of confidence, breaches of warranty and misrepresentation in connection with the sale of goods or shares, claims about distribution and licensing agreements, joint ventures and partnerships, claims involving derivatives or other banking and finance transactions, and claims connected with insolvency and trusts.

He enjoys appellate advocacy and represented the successful parties in the leading Supreme Court cases of Wood v Capita [2017] A.C. 1137 (contractual interpretation), Barton v Morris [2023] A.C. 684 (contract / unjust enrichment) and most recently Frenkel v LA Micro [2025] 2 W.L.R. 1 (constructive trusts).

Career

Andrew was appointed K.C. in 2011 and a deputy High Court Judge in the Chancery Division in 2023. He was Chair of the Chancery Bar Association between 2022 and 2024.
