Career
Andrew (“Andy”) Gilbert focuses his practice on private M&A transactions, venture capital, and business counseling. Start-up, established, and founder-led companies in the middle market space depend on Andy’s substantive experience with complex transactions across industries ranging from high-tech, food service, aerospace, and medical device to SaaS, insurance, oil and gas, and many others.
With a deep understanding of both the business and legal issues that arise during corporate transactions, Andy serves as a trusted advisor to clients, providing sophisticated and comprehensive support across the life cycle of the deals he brings together.
Prior to joining Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres, Andy was a Senior Associate at Hogan Lovells US LLP based in their Washington, D.C. office where he focused on strategic and financial mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, and fundraising for both public and private companies of varying sizes. Andy has advised on transactions ranging in size from a few million up to $40 billion USD. Andy began his corporate legal career as an associate in the Chicago office of Greenberg Traurig LLP focused primarily on private equity M&A transactions, corporate governance, transaction financing, and general corporate matters.
Prior to law school, Andy worked at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Northern Utah, which is what led him to seek out corporate law as a primary practice.
