Ana Royuela

Her practice emphasizes on international taxation and disputes resolutions, primarily on behalf of high-tech, e-commerce and retail companies. Ana’s main focus is international tax planning leading to a tax efficient and compliant structures for such multinationals with the design of strategies for tax disputes resolutions from a domestic and multijurisdictional perspective.

Ana Royuela joined EY recently in Barcelona Tax Team, with over 20 years of experience. She moved from an international law firm (Baker McKenzie). She worked in New York for several years where she focused on assisting US companies in dealing with international tax matters, VAT and disputes resolutions particularly in multinational contexts. She also led the EMEA Committee in the indirect tax area in her last years at Baker.

Ana has spoken at local and international conferences and client seminars on topics related to her field. She has contributed articles on indirect taxation and tax disputes to various economic journals, including BNA International Indirect Taxes Journal and lectured on public tax administration.
