Ana de Brito Camacho is a professional partner and has been with Abreu Advogados since 2025, focusing primarily on matters related to Criminal, Sanctions & Compliance.
Since 2003, her practice has concentrated on litigation, initially in a broader capacity and, since 2007, increasingly specialising in criminal litigation, economic and white-collar crime, and administrative offences.
She has acted in numerous high-profile and complex criminal cases, representing the interests of both corporate and individual clients.
Ana has also built extensive expertise in sanctions compliance, advising leading corporations across sectors such as commercial distribution, broadcasting, information technology, pharmaceuticals, and banking.
In this context, she has not only drafted and implemented compliance programmes but also provided corporate training on anti-corruption and anti-money laundering measures, as well as whistleblower protection.
She has served as a member of the Superior Council of the Bar Association and joined its Legislative Policy Office, where she coordinated the Working Group on the Reform of Administrative Offences.
She is a founding member of Forum Penal – Association of Criminal Lawyers and was admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2005.
