Aliza R. Cinamon

Aliza Cinamon leads Proskauer’s Environmental Group. She is a trusted advisor to leading U.S. and international clients on a broad spectrum of environmental issues and strategies in connection with complex corporate, financing, bankruptcy and real estate transactions. Drawing on her extensive experience, Aliza offers a broad range of capabilities, guiding clients on matters involving environmental liability and risk allocation, remediation, brownfields, ESG, sustainability and climate change, public company disclosures and environmental insurance. Her practice also includes advising clients in superfund litigation matters, and environmental compliance, permitting and enforcement at both the federal and state levels. Aliza represents both public and private companies spanning a wide variety of industries including aerospace, mining, pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing, life sciences, telecommunications, real estate construction and development, sports, retail and financial services.

Aliza is also devoted to pro bono matters, including heading the Firm’s efforts on behalf of Holocaust victims eligible for reparations, obtaining disability benefits for veterans, identifying and assisting potential victims of trafficking, helping persecuted Iraqis seeking refuge in the U.S. and providing corporate counseling for a number of the Firm’s other pro bono clients. Before joining Proskauer, Aliza interned for the U.S. District Court, New York, Southern District with Judge Shira Scheindlin.
