Alice is a specialist in personal injury, clinical negligence and costs. Her work is predominantly in the High Court and she is instructed as a sole junior against King’s Counsel. She is consistently recommended as a leading junior, with a strong academic background, substantial judicial experience and outstanding advocacy skills.
She exclusively represents defendants (typically government departments, NHS trusts and most major insurers). A number of her cases involve jurisdictional challenges.
Her principal areas of practice are:
- fraud/exaggeration in high value cases (including where fraud allegations attach to solicitors or experts, as well as claimants)
- complex brain injury cases, including disputed traumatic brain injuries
- neurosurgery and spinal surgery
- complex regional pain syndrome
- military claims
- cases requiring expert engineering evidence
