Alexis Gilroy, a leader in digital health, advises on complex transactional and health regulatory issues with an emphasis on virtual health methods, such as telemedicine, telehealth, digital therapies, virtual clinical trials, AI-enabled diagnostics, and mobile health. Clients from around the globe seek her counsel on various digital health topics, including multijurisdictional strategy and implementation, U.S. state-specific telehealth regulation, corporate practice of medicine, reimbursement, online prescribing, and fraud and abuse considerations. In addition, Alexis develops and negotiates telehealth specific services and affiliation contracts on behalf of national telehealth providers, life sciences organizations, and large health systems, as well as manages health regulatory matters for M&A, IPOs, and private equity transactions. Ms. Gilroy’s clients range from global life sciences organizations, technology enterprises, and multi-state health systems, to private equity investors and emerging all virtual care national practices. Leadership in the digital health community has been a long-standing commitment of Alexis having served as an officer and board member of the American Telemedicine Association, on the Maryland Governor’s Taskforce for Telehealth, and as a volunteer subject-matter expert for the Federation of State Medical Boards, the Uniform Law Commission, and the Consumer Technology Association.
