During the early years of his career, Dr. Pelaez was Director at the Center for Conciliation and Arbitration of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce, where he managed cases and was responsible for the secretariats of arbitral tribunals.

Dr. Pelaez regularly serves as an arbitrator and litigation attorney in matters related to construction contracts in the oil industry, insurance, corporate disputes, real estate developments, among others.

He also acts as a litigation attorney in local arbitration, and arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Leads his own practice since 2015 in the corporate field, with a strong emphasis in contractual disputes.
