Aaron Weems

Aaron is a Philadelphia-area lawyer known for clear advice, disciplined trial strategies and practical judgment in cases involving significant financial and family consequences.

He represents business owners, executives, professionals and other individuals in financially complex divorces and support cases, as well as in sensitive custody matters, throughout the Commonwealth, including in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Bucks counties. Aaron's cases frequently involve valuing closely held businesses, business and real estate interests, and sophisticated investment portfolios, as well as family law appeals, issues related to parentage and assisted reproductive technology (ART), and financial and real estate matters involving unmarried couples.

Aaron is sought after for negotiating and preparing prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. He regularly collaborates with estate attorneys and other specialized counsel to effectively address complex issues in prenuptial agreements, such as the protection of generational wealth, real estate portfolios and privately held entities. Aaron helps professional athletes, executives and other individuals with multi-jurisdictional financial interests ensure they are protected.

Aaron attended Villanova University on a football scholarship. During law school, Aaron clerked for the Honorable Juan R. Sanchez of the 15th District (Chester County) Court of Common Pleas, before beginning his career as an associate at a boutique litigation firm.

Aaron is an active pro bono attorney through the Philadelphia VIP program and Southeastern Pennsylvania Legal Aid Society. He is a past Chair of the Montgomery County Bar Association Family Law Section and previously served as Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.

Aaron served on the Montgomery Bar Association Board of Directors and is a member of the Judiciary Committee, which vets potential judicial candidates for the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.

He is also a member of the advisory board for the Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation, whose mission is support cancer patients by increasing the number of available bone marrow donors on the national registry, primarily through intercollegiate athletic programs of all levels.

Aaron created and cohosts the “Law in the Family” podcast through the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, where he regularly speaks with leading practitioners, subject-matter professionals and other members of the legal community about developments affecting Pennsylvania family law litigants and attorneys.
