Bill Caporizzo is a leading lawyer and CPA who helps both private and public companies navigate the complex tax issues they often face. For more than 35 years, Mr. Caporizzo has been regularly called upon to represent clients on the tax implications of domestic and cross-border corporate mergers, spin-offs, acquisitions and dispositions, partnerships and joint ventures, and restructurings. He also advises corporate clients on capital market transactions, venture financings and fund formations.

Bill advises on tax related matters for a myriad of industries, including technology, life sciences, financial services, private equity and manufacturing, among others.

Mr. Caporizzo has presented at seminars on taxation for the NASDAQ, National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Program. He is a member of the Tax Sections of the American and Massachusetts Bar Associations and the Boston Bar Association. Mr. Caporizzo is admitted to the Massachusetts and Connecticut Bar Associations.

- Represented The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in its agreement to sell Janney Montgomery Scott LLC to KKR.

- Represented Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in its definitive agreement to acquire Solventum’s purification and filtration business for approximately $4.1 billion.

- Represented TMX VettaFi in its acquisition of Credit Suisse’s Bond Indices from UBS.
