The Illinois office based in Chicago is a flagship office of our national labor and employment firm. In fact, according to the filings in the Northern District of Illinois federal court (Chicago), since 2016, Ogletree Deakins has appeared as defense counsel for employers more often than any other firm.
Our employment lawyers are leading national employment counsel for several major corporations in matters spanning the country, including bet-the-company, high-end non-compete litigation and advice, and its wage and hour collective action group services clients locally as well as nationally.
The office is recognized for its construction industry labor relations practice. It represents contractor associations in multiple states and negotiates agreements with construction trades that are used to establish prevailing wage standards in Northern Illinois. The office has expertise in processing job impediment claims to the National Plan for the Settlement of Jurisdictional Disputes, in Washington, D.C.
