The team advises on wills, tax planning and structuring, trusts and charities. It has particular expertise in residence, non-domicile and offshore matters, powers of attorney and Court of Protection work. This team has a sophisticated understanding of offshore trust structures and specific jurisdictions such as Switzerland, the United States, Russia and the Middle East. The Geneva office provides the platform for much of the team’s international work.

Family:
The team handles the full range of issues including divorce, separation, civil partnership and cohabitation, pre and post nuptial agreements and complex disputes involving financial issues or those concerning children. The team specialises in work for HNW and UHNW families.

Residential Property:
The team deals with all types of residential sales and purchases, high value funding and structuring for tax efficiency, as well as having a special focus on prime and super prime London properties and substantial country houses.

Contentious Trusts & Probate:
The contentious trusts and probate team advises beneficiaries, executors and trustees in the UK and internationally on the action to take when a dispute occurs over the administration of a trust or an inheritance.

Privacy & Reputation Management:
The team is a leader in this field having been involved in high-profile defamation and privacy claims, including acting for over 200 clients with claims arising from the Leveson inquiry and the phone hacking scandal. The team has represented prominent figures including David Tennant and Eddie Irvine, as well as MPs, artists and musicians. It also handles disputes relating to harassment and cyber-stalking.

Immigration:
This team provides practical and commercial advice on the wide range of immigration issues relevant to businesses and individuals wishing to move to the UK. This includes Tier 1 visas (including Investor and Entrepreneur visas), and Tier 2 visas.

Corporate & Commercial:
The corporate and commercial team advises entrepreneurs, owner-managed and family owned businesses and investors based in the UK and internationally on all aspects of their business affairs. This team supports high net worth clients from planning and supporting growth from inception, through domestic or international expansion, mergers and acquisitions, right through to exit.
