Experience
Mr. Zhijian Ge is a partner of Sunshine Law Firm, the head of the Renewable Energy Department, and a researcher at the Firm’s Energy Resource Environment Research Center (ERE). Mr. Ge has long been engaged in legal services for renewable energy project development and investment. He specializes in M&A of renewable energy projects, resolution of renewable energy project equity disputes, resolution of renewable energy project construction engineering contract disputes, and is one of the earliest lawyers engaged in legal services related to photovoltaic and wind power investment and M&A in China. So far, the total installed capacity of renewable energy projects Mr. Ge has served exceeds 100GW, covering various types of projects related to centralized wind power, centralized photovoltaic, distributed photovoltaic, dispersed wind power, and charging pile. Mr. Ge has long focused and engaged in practices related to power system reforms, and has abundant practical experience in gas turbine power generation projects, cogeneration projects, power market trading projects, incremental distribution network investment, M&A of existing distribution networks, large data center and cloud computing project investment, power sales company dispute resolution, etc.
Major clients served by Mr. Zhijian Ge include state-owned energy investment groups, EPC owners, financial leasing companies, foreign energy investment enterprises, renewable energy industry investment funds, etc. Mr. Ge has participated in the revision of the Measures for the Regulatory of Power Supply by the National Energy Administration (NEA) and researches commissioned by NEA on power sales side reforms, cultivation of diverse power sales entities, as well as the amendments to the Electric Power Law. He also involved in the research commissioned by NEA Southern Regulatory Bureau on establishment of a credit evaluation system for power market entities, and the research commissioned by NEA East China Regulatory Bureau on power sales side reforms and supervision, along with other NEA projects and researches.
