Richard has Ph.D.of Biochemistry and has more than 12 years’ experience of R&D work. He has strong technical background and familiar with drug registration procedure.
Richard has nearly 20 years'experience of litigating intellectual property disputes in China. He has successfully handled many complex and high-stake intellectual property cases, wherein two cases were selected as top 10 IP cases and four cases were selected as 50 exemplary cases by the Supreme People's Court in China.
Richard focuses on matters concerning patent infringement, patent invalidation, patent ownership and trade secret issues of the matters involve a diverse range of industries, including medicine, chemistry,medical device, communication chip and large industrial equipment. In the area of medicine, he handled many cases regarding biological medicine, chemical medicine, and Chinese herbal medicine. He also handled the first batch of patent-linkage cases in China after the patent-linkage system is involved in Chinese patent law.
Richard combines strong first-hand litigation experiences with a robust technical knowledge and is capable of finding best ways to present complex technical issues in trial and validity proceedings. He was selected as one of Top 50 IP lawyers in China and was recommended by Chambers and Partners.
