Tuna Çolgar is a Partner and Head of Corporate Department and M&A Department of Erdem & Erdem. He has deep experience in a variety of corporate matters including national and multijurisdictional complex merger and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and share transfer transactions.
Furthermore, he focuses on corporate structuring including M&A, International Commercial Contracts, the spin offs, option rights and group company managements. He also specializes in cross-border strategic business transactions project finance, structured finance, acquisition finance, privatizations and private equity investments.
He is a key figure in advising and coordinating all aspects of energy projects including drafting and negotiating EPC and its supplementary contracts. Including FIDIC and ICC contracts, he provides advice on the drafting of a variety of national and international contracts. In numerous projects in Turkey and abroad, he represented both domestic and foreign clients. He is also experienced in advising, drafting and negotiating agency and distribution contracts and cross-border representation agreements.
He is the leader of our Gulf Countries Desk. He especially advises companies active in the Arab states of the Persian Gulf which are Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their transactions such as forming franchise, distribution and agency relationships between the investors from Turkey and Gulf countries. He helps the clients to establish legally safe structure in the territory.
He has been selected as a Notable Practioner on Mergers & Acquisitions by IFLR 1000 since 2020.
