Career
Alper Uzun joined Erdem & Erdem Law Office in 2009. He is a Partner and Mediator in Dispute Resolution department. He provides representation and advisory services to domestic and international clients in various legal disputes, addressing daily issues and representing clients in local and international litigation. He also provides mediation services as a registered Mediator in the official Mediators Registry of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey.
Alper Uzun is involved in managing and pursuing dispute and litigation processes, providing consultancy in these areas, identifying risks, and handling both pre-litigation and litigation processes. He also conducts execution and bankruptcy proceedings, including debt restructuring, bankruptcy trials, post-bankruptcy liquidation, and administration processes. As a mediator, he acts as a provide mediation services and also represents clients in mediation proceedings as an attorney.
Focusing on disputes related to Commercial Law, the Law of Obligations, and Execution and Bankruptcy Law, Alper Uzun handles recognition and enforcement of foreign court and arbitral awards, resolution of disputes within the scope of Administrative and Tax Law, and processes with public institutions. He also provides services in matters related to Real Estate and Zoning Law, handling employer-employee disputes, and participating in privatization, acquisition, merger, and due diligence projects. Additionally, he plays an active role in identifying risks associated with disputes and reports on legal assessments. He assists in resolving sports law disputes and represents athletes and sports clubs.
Alper Uzun represents Erdem & Erdem’s Russia and Central Asia Desk and also leads our Automotive Industry Working Group.
Alper Uzun received his law degree from Istanbul University. His thesis on the Taxation of Joint Ventures under Turkish Law served as the capstone for his LLM in Financial Law at Istanbul University.
