Tony advises companies on policy and regulatory matters before US federal bodies and international organizations –including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), the Department of Commerce, the Department of State and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). He served for nearly six years on the NOAA Advisory Committee on Commercial Remote Sensing (ACCRES), which advises NOAA on the regulation of commercial satellites conducting imaging operations in space.
Tony’s representative experience:
* Advised numerous space companies on end-to-end satellite regulatory and business matters associated with novel satellite services – including radiofrequency sensing and geolocation, mission extension, synthetic aperture radar, hyperspectral and multispectral imaging, on-orbit transportation and deployment, Internet of Things (IoT), weather forecasting, lunar activities and orbital debris removal
* Assisted a manufacturing company in obtaining a first-of-its-kind waiver of the FCC's radiofrequency equipment requirements, solving a critical supply chain issue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic
* Advised a venture capital firm and its portfolio companies on a wide range of telecommunications and satellite projects
* Successfully challenged an FCC initial decision to deny an auction applicant billions of dollars in bidding credits
