Career

Tomás advises companies and their investors across a diverse range of sectors throughout the entire corporate lifecycle and on a variety of matters, such as corporate formation, venture capital and growth equity financings, corporate reorganizations and M&A transactions.

He previously worked at one of Spain’s most renowned law firms, where he focused on cross-border transactions, especially venture capital financings and M&As involving Europe, Brazil and other Latin American countries.

Tomás was part of the team of experts invited by the Brazilian Ministry of Economy to discuss proposals for the formulation of the Brazilian Legal Framework for Startups and, taking advantage of this experience, wrote an e-book titled Comentários ao Marco Legal das Startups (‘Comments on the Legal Framework for Startups’), published by Saraiva.

He teaches venture capital and startup law within XP Educação’s MBA in Exponential Management, and regularly speaks on the subject at public events.
