/My focus
Venture Capital & Emerging Companies
I have a multifaceted venture capital practice, advising both investors and the innovative emerging companies they invest in. I assist clients in structuring and negotiating financing, ensuring all parties achieve their strategic and financial goals.
I represent traditional venture capital firms, corporate venture capital groups, and special purpose funds with impact investments or other social mandates. My venture finance experience spans early-stage, growth equity investments through exit strategies, including mergers and acquisitions.
Corporate Counsel
I serve as corporate counsel to numerous emerging technology companies and privately held businesses, offering strategic advice on capital raising, corporate governance, compliance, and operational matters. My deep understanding of the varied needs of an emerging company allows me to provide tailored solutions that drive business growth and innovation.
In addition to my legal practice, I am a regular panelist and frequent speaker at events focused on M&A, venture capital, and emerging technology, and I have written on deal structuring and private finance for several publications. I served for several years as a member of the Drafting Committee of the National Venture Capital Association’s Standard Forms Project, which released its first set of industry-standard Series A Financing documents in 2004.
/Looking ahead
The current macroeconomic environment is marked by uncertainty, as business leaders continue to react to an ever-changing business and regulatory environment. I stay up-to-date on evolving market conditions to assist clients in developing growth and investment strategies that mitigate risk while reaching their financial and operational goals.
