Tim focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property enforcement and defense. He is an experienced trial lawyer and has a strong track record of winning patent litigation and negotiating patent licenses across a wide range of technologies, such as chemicals, computer software and hardware, electronics, and clean energy.

/My focus

I center my practice on leading clients through high stakes intellectual property disputes, with a particular focus on patent litigation. I have extensive first-chair trial experience and handle disputes before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and also have a strong track record in inter partes review proceedings. I successfully litigate disputes regarding trade secret, antitrust, trademark, unfair competition, and professional malpractice.

In addition to litigation, I work with businesses and entrepreneurs to create and implement IP monetization strategies. Through litigation funding, strategic enforcement, and technology licensing, I help my clients generate revenue through jury verdicts, settlements, license agreements, and portfolio sales.

Clients also seek my counsel in technology driven merger and asset purchase transactions and joint ventures. My experience also includes drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements involving technology commercialization, technology transfer, and other transactions involving IP.
