Tim C Corfield

Tim is a partner and advocate in the dispute resolution and litigation group. He has over twenty years' experience in trial and litigation advisory work, often in high value and reputationally significant cases, many involving multiple jurisdictions working alongside other international law firms. His broad practice includes corporate and company law disputes, contentious corporate transactional matters, banking and financial services litigation, including funds disputes, shareholder disputes, as well as trusts disputes and general commercial litigation. He also has significant experience in the fields of corporate insolvency and regulatory investigations.

Tim regularly acts for major corporates, investment and private banks, funds, private equity houses and other financial institutions, as well as for trustees, investment managers, investors, office holders, businesses and HNWIs. He has significant experience acting for the target (and occasionally the bidder) in complex schemes of arrangement, primarily in the takeover context. He often represents boards of directors, either in contentious or regulatory matters, derivative claims or unfair prejudice applications, and also as part of his board advisory practice, assisting boards of directors, or committees or constituents thereof, on commercially and financially sensitive or complex transactions and investigations.
